Our Flock
Here is our budding, and growing, flock of Merino Sheep. This is Lucy and Putt Putt and their babies from 2013 enjoying some grazing on a beautiful, sunny, spring day. The babies are Brigit and Artaius.
Merinos have the softest fiber of all the sheep breeds. It's soft enough to use for baby blankets and clothing. And warm!!! My husband loves his wool winter hat, handspun from Putt Putt's first shearing last year. It keeps his head warm and toasty when shoveling snow.

We have two new ram lambs added to our flock this spring. Ned, the little guy in the back, is Putt Putt's baby. The little guy in the front is Taliesin, Lucy's baby. They are sweet little boys, growing bigger every day, and already sprouting little horns. Ned has moved onto a flock of his own.

Sadly, Ned passed away on January 26, 2015. He will be greatly missed.

Our flock has added several natural colored Merino's. We now offer moorit and black fleeces which are a joy to work with. So soft and depth of color!! |

4" staple length with a beautiful crimp from Putt Putt's 2013 shearing. It has a wonderful handle to spin, cleans easily, and knits up into fantastic hats, socks, mittens, and sweaters.
Skirting fleeces can be quite meditative.
The fleece on the table is Brigit's, and that's her peeking out from under the table.
We now offer mill processed combed top from a blend of selected fleeces. It spins beautifully, drafts like a dream, and takes dye with striking color from our white fiber.
Socks knit for Robyn. They are 3 ply, hand spun, and handknit from Miss Putt Putts first shearing. So soft and warm, they are the go-to boot sock!
And Robyn's Voyager hat, a 2 ply, rustically hand spun, and handknit from Miss Putt Putt's fiber, knit to his specifications. Robyn says "It's so warm!"
We offer both raw fleeces and combed top from our flock for your spinning pleasure.. We also plan on having lambs available for purchase for you to augment or start your own spinning flock. Watch our site for further information on our sales!
