Our impending storm got here this weekend. In true Colorado fashion, it's been an up and down kind of thing. Yesterday morning we had about 2" which promptly melted. Then it started in ernest. Heavy, but dry-ish, wind blown into "man-eating" (per Jessy) snow drifts. Between the bare spots and the 10" deep drifts, we are splitting the difference and saying we got 5". They are calling for another 3-6" before Monday morning.
This makes me so very grateful for our cozy, warm house with our blazing fire going. Grateful for the hearty corn chowder and biscuits we had for dinner last night. Grateful for our family being safe. Grateful that our critters have plenty to eat and somewhere to hole up from the wind and snow.
Still no babies though.
